Penguin Solo
Description
Penguin Solo is a handsome portrait of an African Penguin standing warming himself in the afternoon sun. The penguin’s black and white colouring is strikingly portrayed in the charcoal medium and framed against a white background.
The penguin’s colours are a form of countershading camouflage and also gives them the quirky appearance of being suited up in a fancy tuxedo. When a group of them are seen waddling up the road in the evenings, it looks like they are heading out for an important occasion. Beautiful when displayed as a piece on its own or collectively as smaller prints, it is a unique rendition of the endangered African penguin.
